Sided — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sided ("we", "the app") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the mobile app and related services. By using Sided you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Sided is operated by the app publisher ("we"). For privacy questions contact us at flameirauk@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account & profile: name, email and profile photo, provided via your sign-in provider (Google / Apple) through our authentication partner Auth0.
Sports data you create: player attributes/ratings, age (if entered), goalkeeper flag, group membership, match registrations, attendance, results, Man of the Match votes, peer ratings, injuries and statistics.
Event location: the venue name and, optionally, coordinates you enter for a match (used to show maps and weather). This is venue data, not your device's live location.
Push token: a device notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send match notifications, if you enable them.
Technical/usage: basic logs (IP, timestamps, error diagnostics) needed to run and secure the service.
Advertising & analytics identifiers: we show ads via Google AdMob (iOS and Android) and, on Android, also collect basic usage analytics via Firebase Analytics. These use device/advertising identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads and app performance. On iOS, you'll be asked for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) before this identifier is used.

3. How we use it

To create your account and run core features (balanced teams, schedules, stats, chat).
To send notifications you opt into (registration open/closed, teams announced, reminders).
To show weather and maps for a match venue.
To secure the service, prevent abuse and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal data. We show ads through Google AdMob, which may use advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads — see Section 4 for details.

4. Sharing

Your data is shared only with service providers that help us run the app, under contract:

Auth0 (Okta): authentication.
Google Firebase: push notifications (and Google Sign-In).
Google AdMob: ad serving (iOS and Android).
Firebase Analytics (Android only): app usage analytics.
Open-Meteo: weather for the venue coordinates (no personal data sent).
Hosting/database infrastructure operated by us.

Within a group, your name, photo and — when the group admin allows it — your ratings and stats are visible to other members. Admins control rating visibility per group.

5. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process data to perform our contract with you (providing the app), based on your consent (e.g. notifications), and for our legitimate interests in securing and improving the service.

6. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, after which we remove or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain it by law.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, export or restriction of your data, and you may withdraw consent. Email flameirauk@gmail.com and we will respond within the legally required time.

8. Children

Sided is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), authenticated APIs and access controls. No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

10. International transfers

Our providers may process data in other countries. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

11. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the date above.

Esta política explica como a Sided recolhe, usa e protege os teus dados ao usares a app.

Dados que recolhemos

Conta e perfil: nome, email e foto, via o teu provedor de login (Google / Apple) através do Auth0.
Dados desportivos: características/ratings, idade (se inserida), grupo, inscrições, presenças, resultados, votos de Homem do Jogo, avaliações, lesões e estatísticas.
Local do jogo: nome do local e, opcionalmente, coordenadas que inseres (mapas e meteorologia) — não é a localização em tempo real do dispositivo.
Token de notificações: via Firebase, para enviar notificações se as ativares.
Técnicos: registos básicos para operar e proteger o serviço.
Identificadores de publicidade e analytics: no Android, mostramos anúncios via Google AdMob e usamos analytics via Firebase, que recorrem a identificadores do dispositivo/publicidade e dados de utilização.

Como usamos / partilha

Para fornecer as funcionalidades, enviar notificações que ativaste e proteger o serviço. Não vendemos os teus dados. No Android, mostramos anúncios via Google AdMob. Partilha apenas com fornecedores (Auth0, Firebase, AdMob, Open-Meteo) sob contrato. Dentro de um grupo, o teu nome e foto são visíveis aos membros; ratings/estatísticas só quando o admin do grupo o permite.

Os teus direitos

Podes pedir acesso, correção, eliminação ou exportação dos teus dados, e eliminar a conta a qualquer momento (removemos/anonimizamos em 30 dias). Contacto: flameirauk@gmail.com.
